Hey I have recently been assigned the task of completing the scenario
in which I am the systems admin. for a home network of 3 financial
services bulidings and the management of integrated systems that are
connected to 2 integrated customer systems (banks). I have 100
employees with varying degrees of security access (low, med, high).
Every employee has a computer, and there are 2 network printers/copiers
in every building. I am allowed any resource necessary as this is a
learning experience exercise. Could someone point me in the right
direction. I have knowledge of home networks but someting like this
seems overwhelming. Anyone know where to start? any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I think you're in over your head if this is something you need to do
quickly. You'll need knowledge of WAN technologies, routing and network
infrastructure, and (since this is a windows group you're posting to), a
good understanding of the Windows domain security model (Active Directory)
and how to implement domain controller distribution among sites,
multi-domains vs single-domain models, trusts... it really gets quite deep.
If you have the time, look into Cisco's CCNA and Microsoft's MCSE programs.
Even with all that under your belt, you'll need some experience to implement
a multi-site, (probably multi-protocol) commercial network. Good luck.

Kurt is right! This is VERY complex project.
Unfortunately if you asking this question it will be very difficult to
explain it here, because this is at least one year course maybe more depends
on the complexity of the project.

For you first step will be probably to find consultant to do the job for
your company.
