Need help with error code 80073712

I am having problem updating my computer. I followed the instructions
provided at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931712 but found some problems
it could not fix.

Is there anyone who knows how to fix these 3 problems?

I solved the problem. I used regedit, searched for the problem components
and deleted them (backed up the entries first) from the registry. Ran SFC
/SCANNOW and no problems were detected. I tried installing SP2 and it worked.

Hi i am having problems with installing updates for vista home basic. I
have tried almost every fix i could find online and none of them have
worked. I tried to force the WUA and it came up with the same error code
80073712.
Can anyone help me?
