Need help with countif, vlookup and maybe more all in one

This seems simple enough but I guess I don't understand excel coding all
that well to make it work.

Here's what I need to accomplish:

Cell A1 has a heading of "black".
Cell A2 and A3 are what I need to populate, based on a date and
counting how many instances of "black" there are.

Tab 2 has several columns, Column A has "black", "white", and so on.
Column G has a date in it.

What I need to do is count how many "black" there are that fall less
than 1 month from today (which I have today's date in G1) using the
date in column G and also how many "black" there are that fall greater
than one month from today.


Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need some more
understanding of what I'm trying to do just let me know.
