I need help, I upgraded Windows 98 to ME. Then for Christmas my family bought me a new computer w/windows XP Home. Problem is that on my new computer I do not have power point, which my friends send me things I can no longer down load it. My question is: I still have my ME windows CD, does anyone know a way that I can just load power point on my new computer with the ME CD without having to load all of the ME CD? Doe this make sense to anyone with knowledge of windows, b/c as you can tell I have none. Thanks so much to whoever response & can help me, I would really appreciate it.

Powerpoint is part of the Office suite not part of any MS windows o/s.
What files are people sending you? , including extension eg work.doc -

Thank you for your help, the file extension I'm trying to download is PPS (which is power point I belielve. Well, I never had powerpoint before I put in the CD when I upgraded from 98 to ME, so I assumed it was from windows ME. I told you not to much knowledge. Anyway, if you can help David I would appreciate it. Thanks again.

Neither the Microsoft Office application suite, nor any of its
individual component applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,
Outlook, etc.), have _ever_ been "part" of *any* Windows operating
system. They are, and always have been, separate applications, that
must be purchased and installed separately.

If you only need to view the files, there is a free viewer
available:
