Sandy B.

HI,
Hope someone out there can help me with this problem.
When I go to programs and click on, there are too many
programs listed, only 2 columns show and the third is
barely shown. I have already reduced the icon is the
small size, windows told to I could unpin some of the
programs I don't use. I like that idea, because most of
them I don't use. Can anyone please tell me how to do
this? This has been driving crazy. I would appreciate
any help on this matter ASAP. Thanks Sandy

Hi, Sandy.

Do you mean Start | All Programs?

There are several ways to deal with this problem, none completely
satisfactory. First, you can increase your screen resolution (from 800x600
to 1024x768, for example) in Display Properties; this will allow more of
everything - including this listing - to appear on your screen. Second, you
can group your programs into subfolders; some of these (like the several MS
Office components) are done automatically, and you can create other
subgroups yourself. Right-click on Start, then click Explore All Users |
Programs, and use drag'n'drop to organize your program hierarchy. Or, you
might prefer to right-click Start | Properties | Start Menu and choose
Classic Start menu.

To pin or unpin a program, click START and then right click
the program, select unpin or pin (the option toggles).
