Hello,

I am having a problem with my D Drive. When i try to open it a message
appears "D:\ is not accessible. Access is denied".

Few days back i used the Software Easy Drive Lock v 4 to lock this D Drive
but when i tried to unlocked, Software unlocked the drive successfully.
But now after days it is again unlocked and software is not unlocking it.

Please help in this regard asap.

Thank you in advance.

If it is the software in question that is doing the locking - you need to
contact those who wrote the software.

If it is simple file/folder permissions - you can look into:

In any case...

How to Take Ownership of a File or Folder in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421

Read *carefully* - do not just skim the page and start following steps.
There is important information there dependent on the version of Windows XP

Thank you for reply.

when i clcik the D Drive from My Compter Explorer then it gives me the error.

But when i use the search window and searc with *.* or any search criteria
it just works fine and gets record fromt he drive and list in the search
window.

So the problem is that drive doesnot access directly on clicking.

Please advise?

Thank you

Can you right click the drive select properties and alter the security
settings to enable access to the drive root. Look at "take ownership" in
windows help & support.
Neil

When i right click and got to properties, nothing comes to enabled, even
drive space shows 0 .
Security Tabs shows this message "you donot have permisson to view/edit the
current settings"
