Someone helped me set up Front Page with our remote website when we first set
up our website. My hard drive crashed and I lost everything. I put Front
Page back onto my new hard drive and was able to publish the website from the
remote website back onto my computer, but then something happend and I can't
access my remote website anymore. I think I just need to set it up again but
I'm not sure how to do that.

I can get to "Remote Web Site Properties" but I'm not sure what to select
and what to type into the boxes. I think I need to select "FrontPage or
SharePoint Services" but when I have to put the website location into the box
and click "Browse" it comes up to "My Network Places." I have the files in
my websites, but I just can't get it to work.

I'm a volunteer trying to help with this website, but I don't know anything
about this stuff.

Thanks for the help.

When I type that information in and select "browse" a window pops up that
says, "new publish location" and I am supposed to select something. The
options are "entire network" and "my websites on MSN." I've tried to select
both and nothing comes of it. Am I supposed to have my website files in this
location or something like that? I know that all my files are under "my
websites" but I'm not sure they're organized in a way that I can select one
site. My files have all my pages on my website as different folders.

If I just select "ok" instead of "browse" it comes up with an error message.
It says, "the webserver does not appear to have windows sharepoint services
installed." Then it lists 4 reasons why this could be happening. I don't
think any of the reasons apply to me, I think I just have something set up
wrong.

I'm pretty sure that the website has the extensions it needs (whatever that
means) because I've been doing this for at least a year and it's been working
fine. This just happend all the sudden in the last month or two.

After you type in the domain, do not click browse.

Since you are publishing to the server you must have the local website
open - the local website will be located in "my websites" - the site you
publish to will be on the entire network, just ignore that, typing in
the domain saves looking for it.

If you post the domain here, we can check if the extensions are
installed.

ok. That's what I've been putting in there and it's not working. Thank you
for your suggestions.
