I was just going back thru some un-answered News Group postings and found
yours.
The answer is that you need an audio capture program. There are hundreds
available on the net, some even for free. I use either Sound Forge or Loop
Recorder. Both of these offer multiple recording options including the
ability to record whatever is played on the CD or whatever comes thru my
speakers.
Keep in mind, you will need to satisfy any copyright requirements on any
recorded CD.
Once you have captured the sound file, you can save it as an MP3 file and
link to it from PowerPoint or save as a WAV file and imbed it. If you are
going to send this to anyone over the internet, I'd recommend the first,
since WAV files can get awfully big.
