Hello...

I have been having problems for the past three days on my
home computer with not being able to access certain web
sites (such as red envelope among others). Every time I
try, I get a "This page cannot be displayed" message and
on the bottom it says "Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer". Also, I cannot sign on to certain
online PC games, such as Star Wars Galaxies.

I have tried diagnostics, uninstalling and reinstalling
my Linksys Wirless USB Network Adapter, anything I could
think of.

I also ran a network diagnostic, but it came up with "DNS
Servers Failed", and "DNSServerSearchOrder (FAILED)"

It also says the following:

24.52.223.218 (FAILED)
Pinging 24.52.223.218 with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Reply from 24.52.223.218: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=16
Reply from 24.52.223.218: bytes=32 time=13ms TTL=13
Reply from 24.52.223.218: bytes=32 time=16ms TTL=16
Ping statistics for 24.52.223.218:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 3, Lost = 1 (25% loss)
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 13ms, Maximum = 16ms, Average = 15ms

I, of course, have no idea what any of the above means
and have no idea how to find out. Can anyone PLEASE help
me to figure out what I need to do to fix this? Thank you,

Stacey

Hi Stacey
Looks like the lookup that your browser is using for DNS is
setup incorrectly.
IM not sure what operating system you are using but you
will need to confirm with your ISP what the preferred DNS
settings are for the dialup
That might help
The IP address below if doing a tracert starts timing out
at adelphia.com gateway...so might be problem....

anyway hope u come right

From the ping results, it looks like the DNS server that your computer
uses isn't working properly. The DNS server belongs to your Internet
service provider (Adelphia?), and the problem is probably with them,
not with your computer. If it keeps happening, contact your ISP.
