Need help...movie maker won't recognize..not sure how to convert

Help please! I have a HUGE school project due next week...need to make movie
presentation.
My file type is VOB and movie player is telling me that it won't recognize
it. I don't know a thing about what file converter to use to go from VOB to
something that movie maker WILL support...or how to use it. Analog camera
didn't have CD available so that I could save the video from the camera
directly to the computer...so we burned from video camera to DVD and are now
trying to take it to Movie Maker. I'd appreciate any help that anyone can
offer. I'm really in a bind!! Thanks!
