I have 5 user profiles on my computer. One of the profiles has lost all the
user-specific information (wallpaper, icons, etc) as well as the ability to
use outlook or any of the Windows office suites (word, excel, powerpoint,
etc.) When I try to open these, I get messages that the SR premium 2000
cannot locate a source and to verify the source and continue. All of the
other desktop users have no problems. This happened two days ago. Tried a
system restore but I get a message that the system cannot restore. Have a
Dell PC with Windows XP Home Edition Operating System. How can I retrieve
all of the user's information?

This sounds like a corrupted profile. Rename the profile folder
to something else, then get the user to log on so that a new
profile folder is created. You can now copy the user's files
across (but not the user settings).
