Ran Norton AntiVirus and it indicates that it has found a Security risk
threat:

Filename: newobject1[2].hta
Threat Name: SecurityRisk.Downldr

So here's the deal... I try deleting the file from within Norton and it
tells me that the "delete failed."

Norton then instructs me to click on the filename to determine its location
on my hard disk (see path below) and delete the file manually.

Here's the path: The file C:\Documents and Settings\Ulysses\Local
Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\K383QFON\newobject1[2].hta is
a Security risk threat.

However, this path does not exist. I can get all the way down to the
"Temporary Internet Files" folder, and then the other folders/filenames
cease to exist.

I have run searches in Windows Explorer for the filename with no success.

And before you ask, I do have Windows Explorer set to show hidden files.

Any suggestions?

Read http://www.****microsoft.com/content/ms-hidden-files.shtml if you'd
like to understand why you don't see the files/folders.

In this case use IE to delete the temporary files. Going from memory (it's been
a few months since I even booted windows), In IE, select tools/internet options,
Temporary Internet Files/Delete.

If you know the name of the file reboot and go to windows explorer and
delete it from there. If that doesn't work reboot into safe mode and delete
the file in windows explorer.

You should be deleting temp files on a regular basis anyway.
