What do you mean by "extract?"
Do you mean copy from a CD to a hard drive, unzip and
install, please be clear about what you are trying to do and
any error messages you may get?
If you mean you have files that you can't open, such as word
processor, spreadsheet or such, you need to know what
program was used to create the file, the three letter
extension will help you find out if the source didn't tell
you. Files that are .doc are usually MS WORD and .wps are
MS WORKS word files (just examples, there are hundreds of
file extensions and almost as many programs.)
