I have a school assignment which state that a small
company with 50 employees located in single office
compex. It has been decided that Windows XP/2000
technology will be used and I will have to develope the
software platform,Also CAT5 wire has already been
installed in each office and run to a central networking
room where a Cisco switch will be installed. I need to be
concerned about planning computer deployment
1. What computer hardware will I use for Windows XP
Professional workstations and why?
2. Will I use a domain or workgroup model and why?
3. What networking protocol I will use and Why?
4. what type of servers will need to support environment
(don't need to provide numbers of server or
configurations).
5. What naming conventions will I use for users, groups,
domains and computers
I should keep in mind I'm working for a single
site, outlook for the company is good and I should prepare
for future expansion. I'm the network administrator
