Need Help Getting Started

I'm not too familiar with IT stuff. I just got a new laptop and want to be
able to use my email directly from my desktop (Windows) instead of having to
log in. I currently have an AOL account. When I open Windows Mail from my
desktop I get this:

The host 'SMTP' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly.
Subject 'test', Account: 'IMAP', Server: 'SMTP', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Can someone help me set this up on my computer? Thanks a mil!

Just follow these instructions.
(Where it says Outlook Express read Windows Mail instead.)
