Need help getting Pysol back.

I had to format my hard drive late last week, and I lost everything. My
favoourite game was Pysol. I downloaded all three of the apps that go with
it, but cannot get it going. Can someone help me set it up again? Much
appreciated.

Perhaps this is the probelem ?

"Pysol won't work at all if you don't have a current Python installation,
including the tkinter module"

Not much help, I'm afraid. I ended up getting an older version, but it is
so very slow. The only thing I like about it is that I only had to download
the pysol.exe, not a bunch of "windows cannot open this" files that are
needed to play/install the game.

The windows version 4.20 who includes the mahjongg games are available
on the freeware pagee in my Solitaire Mahjongg guide:

Run a Pysol 4.60 google search in alt.comp.freeware.games for download
places for the last standalone windows version (haven't the time to do
it myself just now!)

Replying to myself - now that I am at home again - last standalone
windows version 4.60 is on gamehippo.com - just put pysol in the search box.

That's the one I ended up getting, thanks to using the google groups. I
just noticed this post and your next one, so I will go and try the most
recent stand-alone. Thank you very much for your replies.

Their link to download tis is dead. I sent them an e-mail, but I wonder if
the game is no longer available. thanks anyway.

I just got an automated response from them. They are checking out the
problem, but in the meantime, they sent me a temporary link, which gave me
the 4.60. Thank you kindly.
