need help formatting comp

ok. So i installed windows xp assuming that it would
format my comp by itsself. Well it didnt and what im left
is my old user account still on the computer for some
reason (along with my old one) and also all the files are
still on(in the c drive). Basically I want to completely
wipe clean this comp and do away with everything. Also,
everything is going really slow now (i think its because
of the multiple users being on the same thing) thanks.
