Need help finding a soution for Excel formula

I would very much appreciate help to create a valid formula that averages a
range I.E. AVERAGE(E1010) where the rage values are created from links to
another sheet and each cell represents a monthly number that remains blank on
the feeding sheet untill filled in.

You need to tell us why =AVERAGE(E1010) doesn't work. There's no reason it
shouldn't from the explanation you've given.
