I use Qwest dsl service and an Actiontec modem/router GT701 wireless gateway
with the latest firmware. My Sony laptop with XPsp2 is connected via ethernet
cable and 2 other laptops use the wireless feature. Never a problem until
yesterday.morning. After browsing the news websites in the morning like
always do i stopped at about 10:00 am and went out to do some work in the
garage and when i returned 3 hours later my computer and the laptops were
unable to load webpages. I use Skype internet phone and was able to talk to
Qwest technical support help. So something is worjing right but winamp won't
play radio stations, Mozilla,IE7, and opera wont load webpages, Pokerstars
client wont load. I am able to access the modem. Did my modem crap out on me?
I have rebooted it several times. What is wrong?

Do you have access to connect to the modem/router's configuration
controls (internal web pages) so as to check the "configuration?"

Do you have "standard" telephones (so as to check line quality) or is
this a "dry dsl" (no dialtone) line?

What's the result of ipconfig /all (run in a command prompt window)?

Are you connected to the GT701 by USB or Ethernet?

What's the state of the status lights on the GT701?

When you access the modem, look at the Status screen. Do you have
correct entries under WAN status?

How did you "reboot" the GT701? Have you tried to reset it (you'll have
to go through the configuration again, so you'll need the documentation
from Qwest)?

Fine except for one anomaly i think, Two dns servers were listed the first
one was 192.168.0.1 which is the ip address of my modem/rouer. the second was
205.172.3.65 or similar. Anyways i thought the 192.168.0.1 was weird.

Ethernet
