I added a new PC to an existing home WIN XP PRO network and the PC can be
seen on 2 PC's under Map Network Drive under Workgroup, but I can't get a
list of shares on the new PC.

On the new PC I set the shares and permissions but I can't see the other 2
PC's under Workgroup when I try to Map to the other PC's.

I am Administrator on all 3 PC's.
Another thing when I search for the new PC on one of the old PC's , I get
the following message
\\AMD3000 is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if
you have access permissions.
Then network path was not found.

On the AMD300 PC if I search for the other PC's it can't find them. It is
like the old PC's can see the new PC but can't connect and the new PC can't
see either of the old PC's.

Can you use both NIC connections on this board at the same time? I am
plugged into the Fast Ethernet port, not the Gigabit Lan port. The jumper
on the board has the GB LAN enabled. But I am not using it yet.

Need some help on this.

you don't say how your connecting the three together. Presumabley you have
some sort of hub or router? Connecting 2 just needs a crossover cable but
three or more needs some sort of common connect point unless you're running
thinwire or something similar. have you loaded 3com drivers ?
HAve you run the network setup wizard on the 3rd system?
If you're running zone alarm or something similar there may be settings in
there that stop you from seeing all the connections.

XP has more settings than the desert has sand. sometimes it just takes some
digging to get everything turned on.

Something I'm sure you've thought of as well but XP tends to set up its
firewall when you plug in to a new network. This is the first thing I always
check when having any sort of network snafu.

Have a hub
Install 3com driver
Ran network setup
Turned off Zone alarm
The other 2 PC can see the new PC when I try to map a drive but cant see
anty shares on it.

I don't understand why you need 3com driver as it looks to me like the lan
drivers are Nvidia and Marvell.

In device manager I have 3 items under newtork adapters
1394 net adapter
Marvell Yukpon GB 10/100/1000 lan
Nvidia nforce MCP networking controller

Either way I have not been able to get either jack networked to other PC's

Networked by a Hub and each Pc has its own dial up modem.

IPs of each Pc with SUB 255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1
192.168.1.2
192.168.1.3

Even changed the IPs to
172.16.1.1
172.16.1.2
172.16.1.3

the old PC's worked fine with new IP's but new PC still did not work. Even
install netbuie on the new and one old PC still did not work. I can't
believe both network connections on the new PC would be bad.
