I cannot read any emails in outlook express (running under Win XP). I had
been using it successfully for quite some time (until now!!!). Any ideas?

This is what happens, OE program itself opens as normal, you can view the
folders and even see the windows and look at the headers of each email
(inbox, sent, deleted, etc), but when you click on an email to either view
it beneath the window or double click the email to open another it and view
the entire email, you get nothing in the message portion, nothing at all!

I've found a work around (really not acceptable), but no one has been able
to help. I called Dell (my pc people), my connection people (RoadRunner) and
have searched extensively on the web (microsoft.com/outlook) and even tried
to get a 'freebie' out of the Outlook Express phone # (but it's a pay per
minute..I think not!)...anyway, what I've done to work around this is to do
a FILE, save as then save it as either .html or .txt file, then open up the
saved file to read the email. A lot of work to just read an email that
should (and did!!) open fine in the past.

I even tried to uninstall through Win Xp and reinstall but same problem
(!?)..

Any ideas would be MUCH MUCH appreciated! Thank you kindly!

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from
the Office family for Intel PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting
in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this
group try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the
source for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:
