.
How can one forget their password??
With so many people on this newsgroup that forgot their
password I suspect that it is little kiddies trying to
circumvent their parents password control??

All you have to do is use a XP
Pro CD and boot from it (you may have to go into the BIOS and set the CD to
boot first, if you can not, just download and make the 6 boot floppies)and
then "Hit Enter to Install" when it comes up, then F8, and then you will
see another repair option, do the repair option. Let it go, and when it
starts the first reboot, and you see the GUI. You know...when it tells you
how great XP is. Then hit "Shift + F10" and a command prompt will show up.
Then type. "net user administrator *" it will then prompt you for a new
password, put 123 and then ENTER and then again.
Just leave the repair go, and let it finish the repair install, and when
you
are finished, just reboot and hit F8 and boot into safe mode and log in as
Administrator with your new password. Then from there go to Start > Control
Panel> User Profile> and click on the user and remove the password.
Then Restart the computer and there you have it. NO MORE PASSWORD.

Pass it on.....

cheers
