What is the difference between having an organized navigation structure and
just having hyperlinks among pages? My site does the latter; each page has a
list of links to related topics on other pages. It seems perfectly functional
from the user's end. But apparently this is verboten. Please, everybody,
explain to me why!!?

Who says it's veroten..the navigation police? If it's a small website and
your users can navigate it as it is, and it makes you happy..leave it alone.
