need file fxscfgwz.dll please help!

Every time i try and load my fax component with xp, it tells me i need file
fxscfgwz.dll..and to load cdrom. when i attempt to do this..nothing happens
its not there...i have done a search of my computer..and have found other
related files..but not that one..no compressed ones either..not sure what to
do..please help!! Also in the box u type in to search for path of file..i
have typed %path%\i396 and nothing seems to happen..not sure if im doing
things right or not..but it used to work! not sure if im doing the right
search either..if there are better ways of searching pc..Thanks in advance

Search fxscfgwz.dll on computer or in C:\i386

Hi,
Got the XP CD Handy?, insert it in and try to copy this file to its location.

"Cannot Copy File Fxscfgwz.dll" Error Message When You Try to Install
Windows XP Fax Services
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822799
Or try to Open a Run command and type in:
regsvr32 fxscfgwz.dll click [OK] and Reboot your computer, it may work
and it may not?.

On your system it will be in this directory:
C:\Windows\i386

hi there thanks for replying..first off when i try to do a search of the file
in computer typing C:\windows\i386 it tellsme its not a valid folder..and i
did a run for the command u wrote..and it told me couldnt be found...i have
an xp disc but its an upgrade..i dont know if that matters or not..cause i
had the fax service before..i have inserted disc..and it brings me to windows
components..i hit fax service it starts to copy files then stops making me
look for it...and it highlites in the copy to box D:i386 and ive tried to put
C:i386 and hit browse..tried to look for folder manually..i 386 in windows
folder..cant find it...i have no idea of what to do..shouldnt i have that
folder at least..?if not the file?..must be something im doing wrong.

hey ...ive been to the site that u sent me to download the file...can i do
this anyways..even if i have the file which im sure i dont..ive looked..cant
find the folder i386 either.. with a normal search of computer but i know tis
there..cause when i tried to do search just the letters fx..i saw that there
were files that were part of fax program..in that folder..anyways..can i just
download the file without doing harm to my pc..if its already there and i
just cant find it..?..
