Hello,

I'm looking for several registry keys:
1. the date on which the Operating System was installed
2. the processor of the machine
3. the MAC address
4. the RAM

I KNOW that this information is available by running some windows utilities,
like sysinfo, which collect it on my behalf. However, I need to know WHERE
(i.e. in which file or registries) these are *stored*.

PS: I am not sure whether there ARE registry keys which store such
information. Does there exist some kind of a "documentation" which details
all the possible registry keys and their meanings ?

thanks ahead for any feedback,

Hi Fluffy,
Most of that stuff is not hidden in the registry. Have a look at this
program. It will give you all the information you need plus more and the
best part is it's free.. Program is called SIW (System Information for
Windows)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SIW performs computer configuration analysis and diagnostics. It gives
detailed information about your computer properties and settings, detailed
specs for:
- Software - Hardware - Network
as well as real-time monitors for CPU, Memory, Page File usage and Network
Traffic.
SIW can create a report file (CSV, HTML, TXT or XML), and is able to run in
batch mode.
SIW is a standalone tool that does not require installation - one less
installed program on your PC as well the fact that you can run the program
directly from a USB flash drive
