Yo appear to already be using this group with Outlook Express. If you wish
to use remote assistance is an entirely different feature. Essentially, you
need to send an invitation, hence you need the individual's e-mail address.
When they respond to your invitation, this goes through the remove
assestance console, the two of you make a connection assuming you are online
at the time of the response.
For more information about Remote Assistance, open Help and Support on the
Start Menu, type "Remote Assistance" without the quotes into the Help and
Support box and press enter.
A word of caution, Remote Assistance is not something you should do with
strangers. You should either know the other individual or know that the
person is a qualified tech support person. This is a very powerful tool but
often not necessary. You might be better off simply posting your problem
and question on this board as you have with this message than trying to use
Remote Assistance.
Finally, if the problem is such that you feel the need to offer money as you
have here, then take your machine to a shop, CompUSA, Best Buy, etc. all
have service departments that can probably deal with the issue.
