I needed disk space so I went into " ADD & REMOVE "
I deleted everything that it said I have not use sinse 2005
now I have no sound
DEVICE MANAGER tells me that there is no DRIVER installed
I put in my XP cd-rom ( no help )
SYSTEM RESTORE will not let me go back to before I deleted those programs

DOES SOMEONE HAVE AN ADDRESS OF WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD A DRIVER ?
OR
CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT I SHOULD DO ?
HELP....PLEASE

We need more details about your computer.

Make and model of the PC (or motherboard.)

Manufacturer of the sound card, if the sound card is not built-in on the
motherboard.

What other CDs / DVDs / floppies do you have with this computer??

You apparently uninstalled the drivers for your sound card. Now you will
need to reinstall them. They will not be on your XP install cd.

Never get drivers from Windows Update. Get them from:

1. The device mftr.'s website; OR
2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM
computer (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the
drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. Read any documentation you got when you bought the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, go to the OEM's website for your specific
model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers
anyway)
3. Download, install and run a free system inventory program like Belarc
Advisor. The older Aida32 is good for this, too.
