Sounds like you are trying to start from within XP (x86). If you are trying
to install Vista 64 you will need to start from the DVD or from XP (X64
edition)

The instructions Microsoft provides isn't enough for me to understand, so I
need to know.. How do I setup Vista 64-bit? I'm able to get to the
installation screen for the 32-bit version, but not the 64-bit version.. Not
exactly sure what I need to do..

Well I used Nero to burn the image to a DVD+RW, rebooted, told BIOS to look
at the CD Drive prior loading up XP, didn't even check it.. It went right
past the CD Drive check and took me into Windows XP....

Either you missed the prompt to hit any key or your DVD isn't bootable.
Could be a bad burn, or you may not have burned it as an ISO file.

I can boot my Windows XP CD off the disk drive.. When I burn this ISO File to
my DVD+RW CD, I hit the button when it prompts me to do so, then it just
restarts my computer. Do I need to delete the current partition on the hard
drive before this will work?

By the way, in addition to my question about, do I need to verify the data
and finalize the CD when I burn with Nero?

I'm not familiar with Nero, so will leave that to someone else. You do
appear not to have a bootable DVD.
Did you select to burn an ISO image file? You cannot just burn the DVD in
the normal manner.

Nope, selected Burn Data DVD.

In Nero 7, Select Nero burning ROM, cancell out of New compilation.
Select file at the top then open. Point to the VISTA ISO file and select
open. You will now see DVD image. select a low write speed. Microsoft
recommends 1X although I have burned at 4X. then burn.

In Nero 6 go to Nero express and select disk image or saved project. Point to
VISTA ISO image and follow instructions to burn

Now when I restart, it asks me to press key to boot off disk drive, I hit a
key, then my computer just restarts. But if I put the Windows XP Disk in, it
asks to press a key to boot off disk drive, I hit a key, then my computer
loads into the "Format Windows XP" and partition information setup page.

I used Roxio Easy Media Creator 8. See Pauls instructions below for Nero 6
& 7 maybe they will help. The help file with a search on iso should give
you instructions also.

Well, you have the iso file correct now. It seems you have either a bad
burn (burn at the slowest speed possible) or a bad download.
