Need desperate help. Please assist.

Hi, Im new here and Im not sure if this is the right section or not but...

I tried playing a video game in my PC, and when I just start it, a message pops up and says "Could not initialize rasterizer API" I know that it has something to do with the DirectX or the Graphics but Im not really sure on how to fix this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you! :D

What version of DirectX do you have, and whats your graphics card?

Well, I have the latest version of DirectX and my Graphics card is S3 ViRGE/VX, kinda old I know. :o I have Windows XP. Do you know what I should do?
 
Which game are you trying to play?

It is likely your video card can't handle it.

You could try latest drivers for video card if you don't already have them, best place for video card drivers that I know is Guru 3D

The game is called Battle Realms. Kinda old.
