The guy I got this mainboard from had been trying to upgrade the BIOS,
which quite clearly failed, so the board has now stopped working at
all. He told me it was working before the attempted upgrade.

I have tryed to download a BIOS from pcchips homepage, but there
wasn't one available for this modelnumber, only one similar and it did
not work.

What I want is someone to copy the bios chip from at working main
board with the modelnumber in subject or a Matsonic MS-6383E which
should be compatible.

I know it's an old board, but it kind of irritates me that it doesn't
work.

Thanks in advance.

This link(s) to the Matsonic BIOS works for me:

However, you might want to take a look at the bottom of this page,
addressing a potential problem with 599LMR, meaning you might just
need a different EEPROM (?).

I will try that.

Yes I did know that and forgot it too, but the problem is that these
chips are rather difficult to get.

I do not expect it to be a write protect problem though, as the eprom
programmer was able to verify the content of the eeprom with the bios
file.
