Need audio for movie maker

I need to add music to my movie. I thought I could put in
a music cd I own and copy some of the songs, but it says
it doesn't support the format ?
 
You have to copy the music to your hard drive first, usually to WMA or MP3
format. Use the Windows Media Player.
