need advice on newsgroup servers

Hi,

I'm using giganews that comes with my comcast account. $50 a month is
starting to hurt, so I'm cancelling the broadband so will loose access to
Giganews.

I think outlook express "calls" the newsgroup reader to access newsgroup
servers, so that's what I will continue to use.

Can anyone tell me if there are any free servers that I could connect to
that provide access to the same general types of newsgroups that giganews
provides?

This is something that can be better (and much more quickly) answered by
a web search rather than a ng question. Try putting "free news server"
into Google.
