My assumption was that this file was hardware independent - maybe I'm

, but I'm trying to drive
a Kodak i260 and access it's capabilities via the TWAIN interface, it
has been suggested that a version of the TWAIN_32.DLL that is 1.8 or
greater will help. But can I find it?
I found the following on the kodak website

i200 Series Scanner Validation Tool
Latest i200 Series Scanner Validation Tool and Brightness Contrast
Control
Installing the latest Scanner Validation Tool (SVT) from the link on the
bottom of this page will install both the latest TWAIN Data Source, and
the latest ISIS Driver for the i200 Series Scanners. You must install
the SVT to access these drivers, and to use the integrated Host Image
Processing software, known as HIPPO.
All i200 Series Scanners, with or without the Flatbed Accessory, should
be brought up to this level of Host Software, and the Firmware MUST be
updated to v 2.01.01 i200 Firmware after the new SVT is installed. If
this isn't done the scanner will not work properly.
Software Driver Versions included in the latest SVT - February 2004
a.. TWAIN data source V4.7.16.2 (This is a 32-bit data source, and is
TWAIN 1.9 compliant)
b.. ISIS driver 1.1.10312.23001
c.. HIPPO v2.5.0 (Host Image Processing for both TWAIN and ISIS
Drivers)
d.. STI driver v 1.0.1.0
