We're in need of a simple, cheap router for routing between a WAN and LAN.
WAN-side is a SHDSL modem. LAN-side 100Mbps.

I just want to route between two subnets.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Rolf;

ANY router will do the job. Try a cheap Cisco, 3Com, Nortel. Or just do a
broadband SOHO router; SMC, Netgear, Linksys.

Any router will not do the job - especially not broadband routers because of
their firewalls and NAT. Say you want to manage two printers that use the
same admin-ports on one of the subnets behind a broadband router. How do you
get there? Virtual Servers? No you can't because you can only have one per
port.

We have found one manufacturer of broadband routers that actually lets you
turn off the firewall and NAT functionality - Zyxel. This will solve it. Are
there others?
