Hi, this is in relation to pevious homework assignments that i have been given and for future personal use. First of all i would like to point out that i am not currently going to buy anything, but i need a range of graphics card to go in a spreadsheet i have. They all have to be compatible with this motherboard????

I would ideally like around 4-5, again preferablly well known names like radeon &nividea, please be patient as i really dont know much about them.

I understand that you get like 128mb and 256 mb ones. The only other catch at the moment is that they all have to be sourced from www.ebuyer.co.uk

So, basically i need different quality graphics cards ranging from £00-£150,

Many thanks.

any AGP card will be compatible, im in a lesson right now but i'll do it later if nobody else has

MSI Fx5200 8x AGP 128MB TV-Out Retail Box £28.01

Sapphire Radeon 9600 AGP X8 256MB DDR DVI TV-Out Retail Box £56.33

Sapphire X700 PRO 256MB AGP (with Rialto) GDDR3 VGA TVO DVI-I - Lite £105.86

Gigabyte GV-N66T128D 6600GT 128MB 128bit AGP £114.14

And to confuse you...

Matrox Millenium P750 64mb AGP TripleHead Dual DVI/VGA/TV-out Retail Box £143.60

Thanks very much chris :thumb:

Now here come the questions:

  1. They all are compatible with that motherboard, yes?
  2. Will they be compatible with Intel Pentium 4 processors?
  3. What amount of RAM will they need to run along
Also, for gamers, what gfx card will run Age Of Empires 3 smoothly?

thats a good list, they are all compatible with that board and P4 CPU's, there isn't a limit on the amount of RAM they have to run alongside with (i dont think so anyway) but minimum for a machine running XP for games is 512MB IMO, you could use a 256MB but you may be pushing it

with a decent CPU and 512MB of RAM a 9600 should run AoE3 at 800x600 ok

Will this spec be sufficient for a system to run AofE3?

That Asus Board
512MB RAM
P4 2.8 GHZ (or will it need to be higher)
Hiper 525W Triple Fan PSU
XP Home

Thanks :thumb:

Why is it that you need a bunch of different video cards? I am a bit confused.

Because it is part of a school assignment and future personal use/reference.

Basically i have a spreadsheet with loads of different tabs like, processor, ram etc....

And from that i need to be able to build several different priced fully compatible systems
