I've got a piece of children's software that is damaged (small crack).
Thing is, the CD still works fine in our old computer that the kids
play on but when I try to copy it I get an error message that says it
is damaged.

Is there freeware to do a blind (non-error checking) copy of an entire
CD?

Thanks.

Hello,

If this were my CD, I would
Download DiskDump frontend from http://come.to/ddumpfrontend
(Diskdump and diskdump frontend are in one package)
and then
I would download the ASPI drivers from the same page.

You now have the tools you need to (keep your fingers crossed) to make an
ISO image of the CD.
Diskdump works on some (the ones I have) copy protected CDs. If it
doesn't work on the faster CD Rom drive, then you might try the slower
one in the kids computer.

Once you have an ISO image you can burn it or even use Daemon tools to
mount the CD image on your computer without having to ever put the cd in
again.

Diskdump and Daemon tools go together like peanut butter and jelly!

Its not freeware, but comes with most CDR's anyway, so you probably have
it already, or would not be hard to find a mate who has.

Nero has this option in there somewhere. Check out all the options in
the tabs, its in there somewhere, I first found it in Verson 4.something
I found it sometime trying to do a copy (very naughty) on a playstation
game.
