need a prog to open zip files

Settings in an ini in its local directory. And no bad global registry
behavior; (a number of zip utilities have a bad tradition of forcibly
inserting new filetype keys into your registry).

But, I think it is not green. My records show it writes a (small)
key here: {HKCU\Software\FilZip]. I am reporting behavior of my old
version 2x, and not the latest 3x. Still, in looking at the type of
entries in the regkey (path to exe, and prefs for if enable shell
extension), I kind of don't expect that the new version would change
shift to fullly registry-free.

Of the dozen+ zippers whose behavior I've checked, close to zero are
green. All write to registry +- write external files. The single exception
I've noted so far is 100K-Zipper. But it comes out green simply because
it has no preferences settings.

Btw, on Filzip (2x at least), I experience a problem. My explorer icons
on the left pane get surrounded by whitespace when it is launched. I
presume this is in large essence restricted to being a personal problem
for my system. But I sure would feel relieved to learn that I am not the
only one on earth who gets that result.

Appending small update to environment report. I've just finished
downloading, and checking on, version 3.02. It writes the same two
keys as the earlier version. Small prefs key at [HKCU\Software\FilZip].
Also a key I'd overlooked during my earlier post: [HKCR\FilZip].

Naturally there could be more keys, on a voluntary basis, if do things
such as give associations and enable shell extensions. My interest here
was whether it could qualify as green. Results showed a 'no' there. Down
near close to no one (discounting a couple of tiny no-settings guys) from
this species, zip utilities, is willing to run green. That which is distinct
from the pattern overall with freeware (~20% run green).
