Sorry but you have posted this message to the wrong news group.
The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you post to the appropriate Word newsgroup (and if you
really want a great report, I would suggest you start with using your
shift key to capitalize words which should be capitalized).

If you would like to nitpick a person for not using capitalization, you must
follow your own advice and capitalize Access, since of course it is a
product, not just the word (this of course is in the sentence, "The access
in this newsgroup's..."). I just hate poster's who try to be "correct",
when you can look at their post and find the same problems...

Drew,
I'm glad that you have properly capitalized this reply, as it makes
your message so much easier to read.
I intentionally did not capitalize that first instance of "access" as
it is not capitalized in the newsgroup name
(microsoft.public.access.reports), and that is what I was referring
to.
As a long time poster in these Microsoft newsgroups, I've found that
those who can concisely state their problem without making their
message too difficult to read are the ones who tend to get the most
useful replies. Spend some time here yourself answering questions, and
perhaps you'll come to agree with me.
Good luck

I have spent time in many ng's and agree fully, but don't understand how
uncapitalized words are harder to read????? Many times I just type when
asking questions, but when I develop a report I always use correct
punctuation, capitalization, spelling and grammar.

I agree with Fred that proper capitalization is much easier to ready and
understand. I have a tendency to think that if a poster can't take the time
to use proper grammer and spelling, maybe I don't have time to answer their
questions (with a higher priority).

I do try to understand that some posters might not use English as their
primary language and others just don't have great language skills. I
sometimes read a question as if my elderly father might have posted it.

I read replies from people like fredg, Allen Browne, John Vinson, and many
others... and really appreciate the great language skills, technical
knowledge, patience, and time committed. You will find mistakes in their
(and my) postings but they aren't from lack of effort.
