need a freeware web design program

page on my server am i right in thinking that something like frontpage would

MS Frontpage is a bad name for some people around here. In any event, it is
commercialware which is bad name.

This post made me curious. I know of html editors, but _is_ there
anything like a webpage creation app?? That is vs. just a plain, old
ordinary html editor???
