I don't know if its nationwide (USA), but it's persistent in my area.
Check Wal-Mart for a SanDisk Cruiser (SDCZ6) 4 GB USB flash drive, for
$20 plus tax. Refurbished at OverstockDealz they are $28.50.

Newegg just lowered the price for the SanDisk SDCZ6 to $17 with free
shipping (USA).
