Need 2 laptops to share BCM database

One is set up and has set up for 2nd to share it's database. My issue is I
can't get the 2nd one to connect with 1st laptop. They are on a home network.
I get an error "Cannot access the database server" for 1st laptop. I have
uninstalled and reinstalled on 2nd laptop, still no good. Any suggestions?

1) The user login must be on both laptops, with exactly the same name
and password.

2) When you run the wizard to share the database, all the actions that
open the database to the network must complete successfully (opening
the database's port in the firewall, etc).
