Our NEC Superscript 1800 is jamming in the duplex mode. It prints one
side, sucks the sheet back in until it disappears, then gives the Jam
Duplex Rear error message.
From the bottom (with paper tray removed) I see the leading edge
clears the first set of rollers before stopping. The metal plate has
three teardrop shape cutouts in it--that's where the paper
consistently stops. I can easily roll the rollers and move the paper
in either direction. No obvious debris blocking the path. There is a
belt and gear down there that don't show signs of wear, so I'm
guessing some sensor is failing. Very consistent failure.
Can anyone point me toward something else to check or what replacement
part is needed.
Thanks
