NEC LCD 17" 640x480 without interpolation

Can NEC 1760NX handle 640x480 mode in such way: every pixel is build of 4
LCD pixel, and there are two black stripes at top and bottom? LCD
resolution is 1280x1024, and 640x480 doubled is 1280x960, so there is
little difference.

LCD monitors should be used at their native resolutions... All other
resolutions are pure interpolations, and picture quality is very bad...

NEC 1760NX is a very good monitor if you use it at it's native resolution...
One of the best I've seen...
