All of a sudden my NEC DVD RW has stopped recognising
Blank CD-Rs. It will read other CDs no problem. I get
the message E:\ is not accessible - Incorrect Function.
I only bought my Fujitsu Siemens Computer in November of
2003.

Does anybody have any ideas.

Then contact F-S. This isn't a Windows issue and, even if it was, they would
be your only port of call as MS does not, will not and cannot support an
OEM-supplied licence.

I don't know the solution to your problem but I have this drive and it
continues to work fine. My XP has all current updates. Installed a firmware
update for the drive about a year ago. Roxio 6 is current with updates.
Not much but at least it tells you that the recent XP and IE updates
haven't knocked the burner out of commission.
