Navigation view shows none of pages created

I am using a Framespage as my index. But this does not
show up on the navigation view. My site has 4 pages but
the index is not the home page. I don't understand the
navigation view - it puts the same unrelated files onto it
regardless of the folder/pages opened. Somehow I am not
getting the right level of recognition when I save pages.
should pages that arte made be save in a special way so
that the structure you want is created?

Any suggestion most gratefully received!!

The FP navigation component is not meant to be used when working with
Frames.

Correct. This is exactly how Navigation view is supposed
to work.

No. Navigation view absolutely does not analyzes existing
hyperlinks and display them as a diagram. Navigation view
is for drawing your site structure manually, and then
letting FrontPage create the pages and links.

To see a graphical representation of existing hyperlinks,
open Hyperlinks view rather than Navigation view.
