Navigation structure/subweb

I created my web (ghosteater.com) with an index "splash
page" in the root the points to the index page of a
subweb called "content" in which the rest of the site is
contained. The pages look fine as published. HOWEVER,
when I open the site (the one on the server), in FP, it
appears the content is a simple folder, not a subweb. I
found this out the hard way & reuploaded the site several
times till I figured out that the "content" subeweb
wasn't being treated as a subweb but rather as a folder.
I validated this by editing a page from the "content"
folder on the server and previewing it-- the pages lose
all the correct nav structure (ie, the global links are
as if "contents" is a folder, not a subweb). I closed the
web w/o saving. So, how do I make the "content" "folder"
a subweb? The IPS advertises that they support subwebs.

Open the live site directly in FP, then right click on this folder, and
select Convert to Web. If you are allowed subwebs, then the folder will
appear with a globe.

Thank you-- it was one of your replies to another user
suggesting a subweb, which was also the perfect solution
for me. Thanks again. amg
