I'm using FP 2002 w/Service Pack 3. I built our company Intranet using
our own web server with FP extensions. A local copy of the site is on
my local computer (actually a network drive) and I publish to our
server.
Earlier today, we had a network problem while I was working on the
local copy (by local I mean network drive, not our internal web
server). I received numerous erros stating "file can't be found".
Then it said if it wants me to download the navigation structure from
the server. I said yes, but due to network problems, it couldn't
access it.
After the network issues were resolved, I started FP and opened up the
intranet web from my local drive (again, mapped to our network). The
entire navigational view is gone! I have several options, but don't
know which to choose:
1. Use File-->Import to get files from the actual web server (I opened
up the web using FP directly from the web server and the navigation
view is perfect). If using this method, is it best to choose Import
from Web or Files?
2. Using Windows Explorer, just copy all files from the web server and
overwrite all files on my local (networked) drive.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks,
Howard
