Navigation Pane labels clipped

After changing to Vista, but still using Office 2003, the fonts in the
Outlook Navigation Pane are bigger and the labels are clipped.
(All) other fonts and spaces remains the same as before, it's only the
Navigation Pane that have increased font size but keeping the same label
width.
It's a similar effect you can get in VBA Windows Forms when the relative
space and location between controls are not proper.
Can anyone suggest how to solve this, it's quite annoying and ugly!

The Navigation Pane display is controlled by the Windows display theme
settings.

After updating to the specific driver for my Samsung 22'' widescreen the
problems disappeared. But it's strange that the Generic drives cause problems
when a specific condition happens in a PART of the screen display. The theme
I use is the standard Vista and AFAIK it has no special setting for the
Outlook Navigation Pane.
Thanks anyway!
