Navigation buttons not showing on website

I used Navigation buttons from frontpage themes and uploaded the page to the
server but the buttons are showing up as hyperlink text instead. Is there
something wrong at the server end or frontpage?

The default for navbars are textlinks. In Properties for the navbar set
it to buttons.

And only use the custom themes for nav bars if your server is running the FP 2002 SE

I can not find this setting in Properties.

In FP2003
Right click the Navigation Bar
Choose Properties
Click the Style tag

Either
Choose Use pages theme - if you are using a theme, that themes
buttons will be used, otherwise you will get text links of the form
[ link1 ] [ link2 ] [ link3 ]

Or
Choose a set of buttons from the alternate themes or text layouts.

For the second choice, you must have FrontPage 2002 extensions running
on the server, and the web must be published in HTTP mode.
Sometimes, the link bar must be set on the server itself. Open the
remote web in FrontPage, and insert/edit the link bar.

Thank you for your help. I am using FP2002 and that is maybe why I could not
find the properties you are talking about. I ended up solving the problem by
using a different Style of Navigation Button. I was using the "Radial' style.
For some reason this style just would not work.
