Navigation Buttons Gone

I have tried everything I can think of. My navigation
buttons are gone from my homepage (from my copy of my
website; the published website is fine since I have
republished since the buttons disappeared.) I tried
reapplying my chosen Theme, but that is not working.
Instead of the navigation buttons that were there up
until this most recent time I opened the website to work
on it, I get a left-column listing of my webpages. The
links do work, but I want my buttons back. Any ideas?

Contact your host an get the correct file name for your home page
- rename your home page to the correct file name and republish all
